#eCycleWaste garners support from ITP Media Group
Employees of the company to participate in the two-day programme by giving discarded electronic items away
The eCycleWaste initiative led by public and private sector companies in Dubai has garnered the support of UAE-based media company ITP Media Group.
The campaign which aims to collect e-waste for free from occupants within 11 Dubai freezones will be held on June 21 to 22.
Volunteers can request for ‘UberRECYCLE’ through the Uber UAE mobile application between 10am and 4pm on both days.
Employees of ITP Media Group have been urged to take part in the collection drive by donating discarded electronic waste items.
The #eCycleDubai initiative has witnessed the coming together of Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and Dubai Science Park, in association with Uber and Averda to collect and safely recycle used and unwanted electronics.
Uber partner drivers will be available to pick-up the e-waste for free in Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Knowledge Park, Dubai Science Park, Dubai Studio City, Dubai International Academic City, Dubai Outsource City, Dubai Production City, Dubai Industrial City, Dubai Design District, Dubai Wholesale City.
Last year, the campaign resulted in the collection of two tonnes of e-waste.
