Below are the Facilities Manager of the Year shorlisted nomimees in brief:
Kelvin Vargheese - Farnek
Kelvin Vargheese was responsible for the implementation of utility monitoring of all operational sites through CAFM system, this resulted in improved utility tracking, monitoring and benchmarking at all sites, focus on no-cost operational efficiency projects, and optimised HVAC and lighting schedules and set points among other things.
Hassan S. Naqvi - Al Futtaim Engineering and Technologies
It is the FM managers responsibility to ensure that he plans best methodology of asset management in order to have sustainable environment and efficient installed product efficiency. This is only achievable by implementing careful methodology of planned preventive maintenance and planned predictive maintenance. It is responsibility of the FM manager to always recommend process or product that are more sustainable and efficient. Hassan S. Naqvi carried out a careful study across all projects and implemented planned predictive maintenance by doing asset performance test for two projects.
Sriram Ananda Ram - Emrill Services
Sriram Ananda Ram is a facilities manager who provides MEP/housekeeping/swimming pool and lifeguard services for Arabian Ranches/Nshama Townsquare master communities. In the last 2.5 years he has been with Emrill, he has forged lasting relationships in the communities he manages and has ensured service excellence at all times.
Lisa Roebuck - Transguard
One of Lisa Roebuck's key roles is the management of Transguard's Capital Projects department, a team dedicated to delivering projects that provide both value-added services to our customers as well as projects that enhance its own business operations, allowing it to better service its clients. Roebuck also heads up the Real Estate team, which in 2019 added three new accommodations to its portfolio, taking the total to 51 premises, including 30 leases and AED30m in rentals all of which are maintained and managed by the FM team..
Abdullatif Husamo – ServeU
Abdullatif Husamo has worked on many major corporate and Government entity project such as RTA’s camel racing clubs at Lehbab, Al Tay and Al Marmoom, DAEP’s (Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects) Airshow Facilities, DCAA’s (Dubai Culture & Arts Authority) Etihad Museum, ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) facilities and his efforts have helped significantly to not only improve ServeU’s FM approach and standards but also enable the renewal of several key contracts year after year.
Ashraf Ahmed - Ejadah
Ashraf Ahmed is very close to sustainability and sustainable communities and took several initiatives in 2019 to save environment, serve communities by reducing carbon footprints, saving substantial amount of energies and water through implementation of technology.
Eng. Vazeer Husain - Adeeb Group
Eng. Vazeer Husian established the Specialized System Inhouse team focusing on the quality driven of company targeting customers to deliver the services and fulfil the customers requirements to an optimum, with
respects to functionality, quality and ease of operation.
Javed Ahmed - Sodexo
Javed Ahmed has been with Sodexo since 2010 and has worked across India and the Middle East. Javed is responsible for the FM contract at the Corporate Head Office of a leading, global, oil & gas company based in Oman for Sodexo|Socat. His current scope of work includes Soft & Hard services BCP, ERP, HSSE and project management. The clients local team relies on Ahmed and the Sodexo|Socat team 24/7, with Ahmed as the central focal point for Emergency Response and continuity of all critical systems such as the data centre and technical office.
Mohammed Al Rawahi - Carillion Alawi
Facilities Manager Mohamed al Rawahi, made a significant contribution to a PDO contract, most recently mobilising the new Rabab Harweel Integrated Project (RHIP) camp, a brand-new site in southern Oman - the largest capital project in PDO’s history. Al Rawahi led the mobilisation for all IFM services, across a site hosting around 1300 people
Mohammed Belal Bashier Elageed - Luxuary Facilities Management
Mohammed Belal Bashier Elageed participated successfully as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) selected by IFMA (International Facilities Management Association) to review content & provide feedback of (Performance & Quality) course as part of new CFM Text Book (Certified Facilities Manager). Elageed also increased FM awareness among engineering professionals, for example, by being a co-founder of SOFMA (Sudanese Facilities Management Association).
