EC Harris-McBains Cooper to direct Jordan project
McBains Cooper and EC Harris to lead rationalisation project in Jordan
London-based consultancies McBains Cooper and EC Harris have won a contract to deliver a public sector property review and rationalisation project across thousands of government buildings in Jordan.
The plan to rationalise the property department is intended to help the Jordanian government use its buildings portfolio more efficiently and drive greater return from the public funding invested in this space.
Bernie Devine, Partner at EC Harris, said: “We are delighted to work on such an important project in Jordan. Improving the way that governments use their buildings can not only lead to a significant economic return, but also helps to build trust with the wider electorate. This project is further evidence of our growing profile in the Middle East region and testimony to our ability to provide clients with solutions they value.”
Both parties will develop a comprehensive property maintenance strategy, including identification of the best procurement route.
Anthony Coumidis, Director of McBains Cooper, and overall project leader said: “It is a crucial piece of work which will drive significant change and efficiencies in the way government-owned buildings are managed, operated and maintained”.
