Dubai airport expansion means smarter FM strategy
Airport to maximise use of computerised maintenance management systems
FM staff at Dubai Airport will need to work “smarter, not harder” to successfully deliver the 2020 expansion plan for Dubai International Airport, says Head Facility Care, Dorothee Stein.
In an exclusive interview to fmME, Stein suggested that the airport’s FM facility would be utilising computerised maintenance management systems much more heavily, in light of the vast number of additional facilities which will need to be maintained.
“We will be keeping very close control of our costs,” she said.
“It is not the case that we add thirty per cent of capacity and in turn thirty per cent of resources. We will be looking to enhance the skills of the people on board and focus our objectives on delivering on time.”
