DEWA targets workplaces in energy campaign
DEWA launches resource conservation packs for commercial sector
DEWA has launched the second phase of its conservation awareness campaign, this time targeting businesses and commercial establishments.
Following the launch of the ‘Peak Load’ campaign, aimed at encouraging residents to reduce their electricity and water consumption between 12-5pm, DEWA has launched the “Conservation-Awareness Kit”. It is an environmental starter-kit which provides tips on what staff within a workplace can do to save utilities and contribute to building a safe and sustainable future.
With a particular focus on water and electricity, the pack contains literature, display posters and stickers reminding staff of the need to conserve resources. The packs also contain a CD with a training video, web banner, email shots and energy-saving desktop wallpaper suggestions.
DEWA has already distributed 2000 of the kits to government departments, private sector establishments and government schools in Dubai. It is now hoping to reach out to the remaining commercial establishments in the emirate.
