Lebanon to host EcOrient green exhibition
Exhibition will address environmental issues in the region
The launch of the Middle East’s first ever International Trade Exhibition and Conference for Environmental Technologies, Sustainability and Clean Energy, EcOrient, was announced at a press conference last week.
The exhibition, due to take place in Lebanon in June 2012, will address crucial environmental issues in the region.
It aims to provide green businesses, government agencies and educational establishments an opportunity to acquire the knowledge necessary for them to optimise their resources and impact. It will feature speakers from the fields of environment protection, renewable energies, waste treatment/management and scientific and research.
Speaking at the press conference, Albert Aoun, chairman and CEO of International Fairs and Promotion Group said, "With this increased environmental awareness in the region, we are witnessing a growing demand for green and clean products across the board, from the construction and industry sectors, to home appliances, lighting, paints, water technology and alternative power.
"In this context, the International Trade Exhibition & Conference for Environmental Technologies, Sustainability and Clean Energy, EcOrient 2012 will be strategically positioned to introduce clean and energy efficient technologies, products, services and solutions."
