Imdaad CEO: Cost cutting compromises on quality
Lootah says service should be priced based on condition of building
You can expect quality service to come with a bigger price tag, says Imdaad CEO, Jamal Abdulla Lootah.
At a recent press conference, Lootah said some smaller companies made the error of reducing prices to a level that was not maintainable in the long term.
"Cost of service is and must be related to the quality of the building. We price in accordance to the amount of staff needed for the project, type of materials – all this affects price."
He said this was one of the reasons Imdaad chose to outsource certain services.
"I believe in quality not quantity. If I feel security will add value to Imdaad, I will bring it in house. It is not possible for me to be a security expert and leave [ignore] the major things. We have core services under one roof and still have strong partners in the supply chain. When we reduce our costs, we do so based on other factors, for example, when staff accommodation has come in at a lower cost."
