EEG stresses importance of water conservation
Second lecture held in line with UN drive for efficient water use
EEG held its 2nd community lecture on water conservation in line with the UN development programme and Coca-Cola’s Every Drop Matters project.
The lecture, held at the Emarat Atrium last week, was themed on adapting climate change through water conservation.
"Water conservation is the most cost-effective and environmentally sound way to reduce our demand for water,” explained, Mt El Ackad, FM, Metito. "Everyone can play a part, at home, at school, or in the community.
"Minimising human water use helps to preserve fresh water habitats for local wildlife and migrating waterflow, as well as reducing the need to build new dams and other water diversion infrastructure which in turn will mitigate our carbon emission," he added.
