Bee'ah pledges $136k donation to Syrian refugees
Bee'ah donates to The Big Heart Campaign for Syrian Refugee Children
Sharjah-based environmental and waste management company, Bee'ah, has pledged the donation of $136,100 (AED500,000) for Syrian refugees.
Bee'ah's donation was in response to 'The Big Heart Campaign for Syrian Refugee Children'.
The company has already raised $16,300 (AED60,000) in an internal donation drive.
Chairman of the board of Bee'ah, Salim bin Mohammed Al Owais said the donation reflects the company's commitment to corporate social responsibility towards society.
This initiative was launched last week by Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi, wife of H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, in celebration of the World Refugee Day, observed on June 20 every year.
