Environmental company Bee’ah has announced that it has signed a five-year service contract agreement with Dibba Al Hisn Municipality. Bee’ah’s cleaning division Tandeef is tasked with undertaking regular cleaning and waste management services.
The operation will focus primarily on the cleaning of public areas within the Municipality. These include public squares, municipality buildings’ outdoor plazas and city canals. The waste collected will be transported to the Dibba Al Hisn Waste Station.
Taleb Abdullah Safar, director general of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, said: “Bee’ah’s capabilities, its track record of accomplishments and reputation for best practices in waste management, will enable us to provide efficient waste collection services for the purpose of beautifying the city.”
Bee’ah’s cleaning division will also be responsible for managing and enhancing the Municipality’s recycling infrastructure. Part of this initiative will involve the replacement of existing waste containers in the area with company receptacles. It will also involve supporting various environmental and educational awareness campaigns for government departments and academic institutions.
Khaled Al Huraimel, group CEO of Bee’ah, added: “The agreement will reflect positively on the local community as it will provide them with high level hygiene services of international standards, encourage environmentally friendly practices and promote the culture of recycling among residents through the organisation of environmental and educational campaigns inspiring sustainability among residents and visitors.”
