Schneider Electric wins Power of Profession Award
SCM World’s inaugural award was part of its Talent Breakthrough of the Year category
SCM World, a supply chain talent development partner, has awarded Schneider Electric its inaugural Power of Profession Award in the Talent Breakthrough of the Year category.
The global energy management group was recognised for its Supply Chain Edison and Global Supply Chain Academy programmes.
Developed to support a global transformation initiative aptly named Tailored Supply chain, the two talent programmes educated the entire organisation on cross-functional supply chain expertise and supply chain capabilities.
Annette Clayton, chief supply chain officer, Schneider Electric said: “We are very proud of the Schneider Electric team for embracing the supply chain transformation and learning more about the roles we all have in delivering value to our customers.”
Over a two-year period from 2012 to 2014, the Tailored Supply Chain initiative helped to reduce customer dissatisfaction on deliveries by 27%. The initiative also helped raise SCM World’s service level performance by three points.
Furthermore, Schneider Electric transformation initiative improved amount of industrial productivity by generating a $387m contribution per year on average to the SCM World’s performance.
As a result, the global energy management group has also landed on LinkedIn’s top 50 Most In Demand Company list.
Commenting on the initiative’s success, Ferran Raurich, senior vice president of global supply chain human resources, Schneider Electric shared: “We are honoured that our talent strategy, and in particular these two programs, are recognised as being innovative and best-in-class.”
