The company’s Set to 24°C and Save summer campaign successfully saved 18.9% in district cooling consumption in its second month of operation
UAE-based district cooling service provider Empower have announced recent successes with its Set to 24°C and Save summer campaign.
Raising awareness with community on conserving environment resources and adopting environmentally friendly practises, the campaign has successfully saved 18.9% in district cooling consumption in its second month of running.
Commenting on the success, HE Ahmad bin Shafar, CEO, Empower, said: “This significant decrease in consumers' consumption reflects the community's response to the campaign. Empower is pleased from the results of the first two months of the campaign which show that tips highlighted in the campaign helped to conserve district cooling consumption.”
The Set to 24°C and Save summer campaign also saw success in first month of running, registering savings of 16.4% compared to the same period last year.
"We achieved significant results in the first two months of the campaign and we expect similar results in August and September," Bin Shafar emphasised.
The community outreach campaign provides friendly advice to the public to help curb consumption during peak times in the summer. Part of this includes setting room temperatures to 24°C in addition to other recommendations.
“Our efforts in urging our customers to be responsible towards the environment have paid off. We are delighted from the rapidly increasing response from our customers,” commented Bin Shafar.
He added: “The campaign aims to raise our customers' awareness on how to benefit from the district cooling services with least energy consumption where the main guideline of this campaign is to set the temperature on 24°C."
