10th edition of Light Middle East set for October
Organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the three-day event will focus on the latest sustainable and contemporary lighting design.
Light Middle East is set to take place from 6-8 October, 2015, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Over the course of three days, the event will serve as a platform for the GCC’s lighting market to showcase the latest sustainable and contemporary lighting designs.
Commenting on the upcoming event, Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said: "The UAE's commitment to sustainability and energy conservation is transforming the way the country uses energy, while driving demand for environmentally-friendly lighting systems and technology.”
He added: "This sustainability shift is continuing to spread into the wider Middle East, making it one of the more attractive markets for leading names in the international lighting industry, and every year we're a seeing growing interest in the region from global players at Light Middle East."
Now in its 10th iteration, the lighting design and technology exhibition is projected to draw over 350 exhibitors from across 27 countries. Of the 430 brands expected to be present, more than 30 will arrive from Italy and UK.
Amongst the topics to be covered at Light Middle East 2015 include recent sustainable lighting initiatives put into play by both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as the implications of mega-developments such as Meydan One. Also returning this year is Future Zone, a special section dedicated to technologies and trend-setting lighting systems previously unseen in the region.
Participating at this year’s edition, Anthony Kerr of LED Flex shared: "The futuristic vision that the UAE is built on is something we really want to be a part of. We are at the forefront of the lighting industry and there is no better place in the world to show our technologies to the key decision makers to see our products in the buildings of the future."
