Tadweer inks MoU with Universal Hospital
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed as part of the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Week, and focused on work-related health risks
The Centre of Waste Management in Abu Dhabi (Tadweer) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universal Hospital.
The MoU was signed as part of the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Week.
As per the agreement, Tadweer will together with Universal Hospital to host a number of campaigns aimed at raising awareness of the staff on work-related health risks.
The initiative will also include special services such as vaccines and awareness campaigns.
Commenting on the MoU, HE Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, general manager of Tadweer, said “Organising medical and awareness campaigns focused on occupational health will help increase our employees' wellbeing, hence strengthening the positive, healthy and sustainable work environment.”
He added: “This also helps in strengthening partnerships with the private sector in the Emirate, and promotes the application of Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health system inscribed within the Occupational Health and Safety program in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.”
Universal Hospital’s contribution to the initiative will include the assignment of a medical team and the provision of equipment for the project. The team have been tasked in conducting a number of medical examinations, such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and measurement of body mass index (BMI).
Engineer Hani Hosni, director of the Environment, Health and Safety Department, said: “The memorandum states Tadweer to implement a project in order to visit some of its facilities and conduct a comprehensive medical assessment.
“In addition, it includes the distribution of brochures and manuals on health awareness to all staff in order to achieve the objectives of this project.”
