$1.6m maintenance work begins at five Bahrain schools
The facilities are located across the country's Northern and Southern governorates, and are being maintained in accordance with the education ministry's requirements
Maintenance works worth $1.6m (BHD587,789) have commenced at five government schools in Bahrain.
The facilities are located across the country's Northern and Southern governorates.
Jaber bin Hayyan Primary Intermediate Boys School; Budaiya Primary Intermediate Girls School; Al-Wadi Boys’ Primary School; Shaikh Isa bin Ali Secondary Boys School; and Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Secondnary Boys School are being covered by the maintenance programme.
Eng Huda Mirza Abbas, building maintenance director at the kingdom's Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and Urban Planning, said the buildings will be ready in time for the 2017/18 school year.
Mirza said that maintenance work would be carried out in other government schools starting next month.
All activities are being carried out in accordance with the country's education ministry, she added, according to BNA.
