Effective water disinfection is very important in all buildings. The Oxiperm Pro is a specialised chlorine dioxide generator from Grundfos that is fully Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) approved. Chlorine dioxide is vital in providing clean water to a variety of potentially susceptible applications including hotels, sports and leisure facilities and hospitals.
Chlorine dioxide is a powerful disinfection selection, and has excellent bactericidal, viricidal, sporicidal and algicidal properties. Specifically, within water purification, chlorine dioxide has the major advantage of ensuring clean water from the tap where the action of other methods such as hot water sterilisation is less effective and costly. It remains in the system for a long time, which means it disinfects even without extracting water.
Another big advantage of chlorine dioxide over other disinfectants such as hot water sterilisation is its effectiveness against biofilms. has launched its TX Series escalator for India, Asia and the Middle East. The new escalator meets multiple standards and follows the same concept for the machine room-less elevator for Asia and the Middle East, which was launched in September 2016. It also saves space required for the installation, covering a smaller area in comparison with existing products. www.ae.grundfos.com
The EWAD-MZ chiller series achieves the highest overall efficiency and offers real world benefits such as lowest energy costs and carbon footprint, making it the first choice for designers, consultants and end users over traditional air cooled chillers for their buildings. The heart of the EWAD-MZ chiller is Daikin’s screw compressors incorporated with industry-first variable volume ratio (VVR) technology that allows the internal compression ratio to optimize the chiller’s performance at all ambient conditions. VVR combined with inverter on compressors provide best in class efficiency at every load and lift conditions. www.daikinme.com
Honeywell’s Xtralis VESDA-E VEP offers improved detection performance — one and a half times greater sensitivity than VESDA VLP, up to six times better dust rejection to minimise nuisance alarms, saving building owners significant potential costs from fire department calls. The technology offers higher detection stability over a wider range of environments and improved consistency through its Flair Detection Technology. Its new unique particle characterisation capability provides analytics for targeted detection and efficient and effective response. www.honeywell.com
Hitachi Building Systems has launched the new TX Series escalator for India, Asia and the Middle East. The escalator has already been released in China, and will be released in stages across the remainder regions. The TX Series offers flexibility with a selection of various product specifications, as well as its design and safety features, to cater to a diverse range of customer needs. It also saves space required for the installation, covering a smaller area in comparison with existing products. Hitachi will begin sales of the TX Series in Thailand, followed by launches in the Philippines, Malaysia and various other regions, and aims to receive orders of 10,000 units in 2018 in China, India, Asia and the Middle East. The TX series features shorter span dimensions (by 150mm) making it possible to install escalators in more confined spaces. www.hitachi.ae/eng
