Initial Saudi to provide soft services for Riyadh Airport
Three-year contract awarded on the back of the FM company’s performance in the Riyadh airport previously
Initial Saudi Group won the FM cleaning contract for Riyadh Airport, following stiff competition from five other FM companies.
Initial Saudi Group has been appointed to take on the responsibility of all cleaning and janitorial services for Riyadh Airport, which comprises of three terminals (T1, T2 and T5 as well as two principal administration and support buildings).
Initial Saudi remains hopeful to add two more terminals that are currently under renovation at a later stage.
Riyadh Airport is the second largest airport after Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is considered as the air gateway to the Kingdom.
Approximately 40 Airlines use the airport for scheduled passenger services, and in 2017 it served 25 million passengers.
Initial was previously appointed as the FM cleaning contractor for Terminal 5 in 2016, for a period of one year in the Riyadh Airport, where it was appreciated for its comprehensive technical proposal and overall competitive value.
It’s performance at T5 was taken into consideration before winning the new three-year deal (with an option to extend to five years) which will eventually cover all the terminals at the airport.
Initial Saudi Group has deployed 650 staff to manage the FM cleaning works these include: janitors, parking attendants and other ancillary service staff.
