The excitment that comes with FM Expo 2018
What will you be looking forward for at this FM Expo? Share your thoughts with me, or better still let’s catch up at the show!
As all trade shows bring optimism and a sense of urgency for its subsequent industry, the 13th edition of the FM Expo will be no different.
Having attended the show last year I am looking forward to see a host of few features this year.
We are expecting several facilities management (FM) companies to be there, showcasing their service extensions or making the industry know about their growth in general.
In terms of suppliers attending the FM Expo several cleaning companies and technology service providers have confirmed their attendance. The cleaning and technology disciplines represent the old and new of the FM sector, and make it interesting ingredients in the evolution taking place in the world of FM.
A stand out feature, in my opinion, is the education opportunities on offer at the 13th edition of the show.
The FM Expo will feature 21 free to attend CPD certified workshops, set to reveal dominant trends in the market and to stimulate the exchange of ideas across topics like smart cities management and cost effective practices.
Education in FM is an underrepresented area in our industry and efforts such as these will help a large number of takers.
The lack of quality training and educational activities has long been highlighted by FM professionals in the region and the free CPD workshops is a step in the right direction.
I have my mind set on a few topics, and will look at growing my knowledge on those subjects. The more I write about the industry, the more relevant it becomes to me – hence some extra brain dough will do no harm.
The organisers seem to have done away with the FM Expo Congress this year. In turn, the Waste & Recycling Summit - which will be held on 25 September — will shed light on various different aspects of the not-so-glamourous waste market.
As always Facilities Management Middle East will be the official media partners of the expo, so don’t forget to grab your free copy and exchange contact details with yours truly.
See you at the show.
