Dubai extends disinfection drive to 24 hours
Employees working in sectors that include maintenance services are permitted to commute to work between 8.00 am and 2.00 pm
Dubai announced the extension of the sterilisation programme to 24 hours a day across all areas and communities in the emirate.
The annoucement was made by Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, in coordination with the Command and Control Centre for Combating COVID-19. The Committee also announced restrictions on the movement of people and vehicles.
The measures were made effective from 8pm on 4 April 2020 for a period of two weeks, subject to renewal.
According to Gulf News, employees working in sectors such as banking and financial services (banks and exchange centres), social welfare services, laundry services (for permitted outlets), and maintenance services, are permitted to commute to work between 8.00 am and 2.00 pm.
