Tony Martin, a regional FM veteran, was brought in by Al Bonian’s shareholders to drive its FM business and build on its reputation as a hard services specialists. No sooner after taking over as CEO of the firm Martin had told fmME a 100-day plan was set in motion to achieve several milestones in a bid to fine tune the business from an external and internal point of view.
Martin believes that there are less than a few FM companies that can match Al Bonian’s ability to deliver hard services in the current market. He is also looking to change market perception that ‘bigger FM companies can offer better services’. For Martin and Al Bonian FM the key objective will be to deliver efficiencies and work with clients that want to drive their asset lifecycles.
Al Bonian FM’s current list of clients include Masakin Al Furjan, Al Furjan Lease Hold Villas and Town Houses, Rolex Tower, Capricorn Tower, Al Raha Tower, Galleria Mall Al Barsha, Galleria Mall Al Wasl, Galleria Villas, Saratoga Building, DRC Greenfield Factory DIP and Four Seasons Hotel DIFC. Apart from its contract with Masakin Al Furjan — which is an IFM one — all other contracts are MEP maintenance. Martin says: “For the next 12 months, Al Bonian will focus on major property developers such as Nakheel, Dubai Properties, Al Serkal Group as such and has now started tendering major contracts such as but not limited to MEP infrastructures, master communities, mixed facilities of residential and commercial, unit services (inside apartments/villas) and mobile team services.”
