It’s been another strong year for Greg Ward and Transguard as the firm’s revenues for 2017-18 were $626m (AED2.3bn for the year ended 31 March 2018). The firm has already secured approximately 93% of its 2018-19 revenue target and it expects to achieve more than 15% growth in revenue for 2018-19.
“Since January 2018 we’ve secured a record AED1.5 billion in contracts awarded by clients (both locally and internationally), including renewals and new account wins. Our integrated facilities services (IFS) division has experienced a particularly robust year, with $37.8m (AED139m) in contracts on the books and continuing growth in various sectors, including major shopping malls in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as well as popular residential areas in Dubai,” Ward says.
As for the next year Tranguard’s IFS department is in advanced stages to secure work in major malls and shopping areas in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as well as in one of Dubai’s largest free zones with a majority of the UAE’s local and international banks. “Our contracts with residential areas includes an impressive number of Fortune 500 companies, and our expanded presence within the hospitality sector includes both four- and five-star hotels,” Ward adds.
Transguard is also one of the largest employers in the regional FM sector with more than 65,000 employees on its roster. Overall staff numbers have increased roughly by 13% as compared to the previous year.
To ensure the staff is adequately catered to Transguard is in the midst of constructing two massive staff accommodation sites which will have the latest amenities and sustainable facilities.
