Farnek and Mace Macro have extended their support to FM Awards 2018
Markus Oberlin, CEO, Farnek
Technology and innovation is a key strategy for facilities management company, Farnek. By harnessing the power of digitalisation, Farnek drives sustainable service delivery through people, process and technology.
Its commitment to a technology-focused facilities management industry is demonstrated through Farnek’s ongoing multi-million investment into digitally transforming its business model with the development and introduction of new solutions based on IoT, big data and AI.
Farnek’s skilled workforce is on the rise after it secured AED157m of new contracts in Q1 2018 alone. Working across the UAE and in a variety of sectors and contracts, its head count has increased by 30% bringing its total workforce to more than 5,500 employees.
These employees go through strict training programmes that are developed in accordance to international best practice. They encourage an ownership culture and support career progression within Farnek. More recently, its soft services supervisor course – Future Forward – is the only course in the region to receive endorsement from the British Institute of Cleaning Services (BICSc). With a focus on equality, women represent nearly 50% of its management team.
Farnek offers in excess of 60 services in-house which includes a 24 helpdesk, CAFM, specialist cleaning, consultancy, cleaning, MEP and security.

As a leader in sustainability, Farnek initiated and developed the region’s first mall benchmarking study to evaluate energy, waste and water consumption. By utilising FM and sustainable best practices, both costs and environmental impact can be reduced. The study has been endorsed by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.
Farnek’s dedicated sustainability division is focused on driving best practice in areas such as energy management, waste generation, water consumption and CO2 emissions.
