Emaar switches its way to Technology Implementation of the Year award
Farnek comes in second with its Farnek App to take home the highly commended award
Emaar Asset Management (EAM) won the Technology Implementation of the Year Award at the fmME Awards 2018.
EAM won the award for its Analytics Based Predictive Maintenance at Burj Khalifa and successfully implemented the ‘internet of things’ technology to create a system that proactively rectifies a fault prior to impacting its customers and core business. The system directly resulted in a 10% reduction in customer complaints.
Bashar M. Kassab said: “I am glad to see that our work is recognised. The world is going digital in general and we need to be at least future-ready. We wanted to be the first to implement such a technology and finally it pays off for us as facility managers and also for the end-users.”
EAM also managed to reduce the overall service fee by eliminating unsolicited maintenance. Protects owner’s investment and maximises the CAPEX investment benefits by optimising the overall asset life cycle costing benefit of technology implementation (cost and internal infrastructure).
Facility management has been very traditional in its ways. People are always following the traditional approach of maintenance.
“With this particular technology we are able to predict machine failure. It will also be able to communicate directly with the technician about an abnormality in the process, and let them know what spare part is required to rectify the issue. In turn this prevent asset failures,” he added.
Eng. Ansari, CEO of Adeeb presented the award on the night.
MJB Group was the Platinum Sponsors of the Event, along with Farnek and Mace Macro as the Gold Sponsors.
QBG FM, OSCO, Cofely Besix FM and CoreServ were the Silver Sponsors of the fmME Awards 2018.
