Ejadah’s e-learning platform wins Education and Development Initiative of the Year
Abu Dhabi-based Adeeb Group won highly commended honours for its many staff training initiatives
Asset management services company Ejadah won the award in the Education and Development Initiative of the Year category of the FM Awards 2019.
The Ejadah Training Academy conducts over 200 trainings per month, both in-house and on-site, for more than 8000+ employees. Ejadah launched two major education and training initiatives in 2018, the Advanz e-learning platform and Blue Collar Grooming Standards video campaign.
The Advanz e-learning platform offers 463 courses bundled into a business courseware. Ejadah introduced a mandatory personal development objective to its employee performance management system that requires at least one course completion carrying 10% weightage. Employees who developed themselves through e-Learning are made preferred candidates for internal mobility and promotions.
Ashok Joseph, executive director-business support, Ejadah, and head of education and training at the Ejadah Training Academy, said: “We believe we are only as good as our people and their development. The lack of skilled manpower is one of the top challenges in GCC’s FM market, and this award recognises our efforts to put education and training as the top priority in our organisation.”
“Our aim is to impart new skills to every employ in the company and provide the flexibility to learn from anywhere, anytime. E-learning is the best way to make learning available for employees 24x7, without disrupting business. In addition to hard and soft FM services, we focus on soft skills training, including customer service and communication skills,” he added.
The Ejadah Grooming Standards Video campaign was released in 5 languages to all 8000+ employees across all mediums of interaction such as inductions, trainings, staff accommodations, TV screens, entertainment rooms, buses, posters and internal EDMs.
