Sriram Ananda Ram from Emrill took home Facilities Manager of the Year award at the FMME Awards 2020.
Ram has been recognised by one of the judges as “A dedicated FM manager who clearly understands the supplier customer relationship”. In the 2.5 years he has been with the firm, he has forged lasting relationships in the communities he manages and has ensured service excellence at all times
Ram said: “I’m thrilled to receive this award, which will no doubt boost my career and will help me progress further within the industry. Whilst handling a geographically widespread community, time and resource management is of utmost importance to successfully manage the service. I’m proud to be recognised for the hard work and dedication put in to manage one of Dubai’s most prestigious communities.
“I would like to thank the leadership team and my mentors at Emrill for supporting me and encouraging me to face challenges with a can-do attitude. It is this culture that pushes every employee to reach their full potential.”
The highly commended nominee in this category went to Kelvin Vargheese from Farnek who was responsible for the implementation of utility monitoring of all operational sites through CAFM systems, and this resulted in improved utility tracking, monitoring and benchmarking at all sites; focus on no-cost operational efficiency projects; and optimised HVAC and lighting schedules and set points.
Vargheese also led the introduction of a Smart Plant Room at Dubai Airports, which collected statistical data digitally in real-time, analyse and reveal trends and patterns associated with energy consumption, leakages and temperature variation and ultimately making plant roomssmart through Farnek/Hitches & Glitches technology.
