MEFMA Confex 2018 to be held in Dubai this month
The two-day event will focus on creating a sustainable industry through "creative, value-based innovations"
Details of the Middle East Facility Management Association's (MEFMA) Confex, to be held in Dubai this year, have been revealed.
MEFMA Confex Dubai 2018 will be held on 29 and 30 April, 2018, at the Address Hotel in Dubai Marina.
The two-day facility management (FM) event will focus on creating a sustainable industry through "creative, value-based innovations".
Day 1 will feature a conference, including keynote presentations and panel discussions, while Day 2 will feature four workshops aimed at sharing best practices.
Panel discussions on Day 1 will cover topics such as ISO standards for FM and MEFMA's Muhtarif and Mustadam certifications.
Meanwhile, among the topics to be discussed on Day 2 is one titled 'Maintenance – Repair – Refurbishment – Revitalisation'.
The workshop will explore strategies for optimising the total ownership yield of commercial buildings, and will be delivered by Peter Prischl, managing director of Drees & Sommer International.
Commenting on the programme, Jamal Lootah, president of MEFMA, said: "These are exciting times for the region's FM industry, made even more interesting with increased number of development projects accompanied by a growing demand for FM services.
"The aim of the event is to bring to light the significant role of integrated, quality, and professional FM services in today’s world of rapid technological innovations, connectivity and smart initiatives."
