2019 FM Power 50
Top 50 FM Firms in the Middle East
We are back once again with this year’s annual FM Power List 2019. It was both an exciting and daunting task to collate and present such a list.
We went through several amounts of data that was provided by you through the questionnaire we sent out a couple of months back. Yes, it did indeed take a couple of months of planning and working on this list!
I would first like to clarify a few things though before you go through the list. This list is both objective and subjective in nature. As you may know, there are so many parameters in the FM industry to keep in mind when formulating a list. Do we consider only at the revenues, profits or project pipeline from a ranking point of view? While numbers do play a major part, there are other factors we also had to consider, such as how active was the FM firm in the last 12 months. One thing to note is that the more information provided in the questionnaire, the better the ranking.
The other dilemma we faced was when a few companies did not send in the questionnaire, or declined to comment. We felt it wouldn’t be wise to not include them and thus went ahead and relied on information available on the public domain. After all, is it plausible to have a list of fast cars with no mention of Ferrari?
Given the above, the list naturally will be debatable. Some of you may not even compete with each other. Our objective was to list those who are active in the FM space, be in hard services, soft services or waste management. FM is a wide sector covering several domains and it’s difficult to club then into a space of 50.
In closing, I would like to thank each one of you who took the time out in responding to my questionnaire. I feel that being in the list is more important than anything!
