fmME delves below corporate strategy to understand what makes the region’s FM professionals tick
What does your role involve?
As the director of client relations I look at building lasting ties with our clients. I ensure this is possible through their sites being maintained as per their requirements and deliver contract obligations as per service level agreement (SLA) and key performance indicators (KPIs). I’m in charge of managing a team of dedicated employees that are driven with the Ejadah vision.
What do you love most about your job?
With the support of my team we manage multiple contracts at the same time with different client expectation. You have to set goals, motivate your workforce, monitor performance, and measure results. This position demands managing and providing FM services to TECOM, DPG (Dubai Asset Management), Wasl and other major sites with a budget worth more than 200 million.
What is the most memorable project and why?
JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence) was a unique project because of its size and scope of work. Idama provided the FM services for several clients in one location. In addition to that the work we have done with different master communities, owner association, retails outlets (The Walk) and hotels also stands out.
Where do you see the FM industry in 5 years?
Technology plays major role in the FM industry, and this will continue advancing. With this in mind Ejadah will continue to stay at par at every level of this change as the industry demands innovation the in service delivery.
What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
I always see my job as challenging and exciting. In FM you can never anticipate what will happen tomorrow. We need to constantly focus on “scenario planning.” That makes it more enjoyable.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spending with my family keeps my mind relaxed and rejuvenated, while exercise keeps me ready for any challenges ahead in my day.
