Saeed Ahmed and Interserve to part ways
Interserve to replace Saeed Ahmed with regional MD at the start of 2019
Saeed Ahmed, who served as Interserve’s FM director for the MENA region, is reportedly stepping down from his position.
Martin Burholt, MD, international FM and UK commodities for Interserve told fmME that the firm is now looking to replace Ahmed with a regional managing director.
Burholt visited the UAE in December last year to finalise the new candidate. “We were finalising the process of finding a managing director for the region. Saeed Ahmed is leaving at the end of 2018, who was the FM director, and now we are creating a new role of managing director,” he informed.
Burholt also added the incoming MD will be invested to develop the business right across the Middle East region.
“We have a registration in Oman and we see there is opportunity although we don’t currently actively operate there. We also see our existing customers will take us to other regions such as Bahrain and Jordan as soon as we can,” he said.
Ahmed joined the UK-founded support services and FM firm Interserve in August 2014.
Prior to which Ahmed worked in Dubai-based Emrill Facilities Services as the pre-contract and commercial director.
It’s unclear as to where Ahmed’s next career move will be, watch this space for further updates.
