BIFM elects new UAE committee chair
UAE chapter also elects new committee members
BIFM’s UAE Committee has voted in new chair Janet McAvinnie, as the committee seeks to increase its presence across the country.
McAvinnie, who succeeded Jason Goddard as chair following a vote at the committee’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in April 2018, said: “I am excited to take on the role of chair during this exciting phase in BIFM’s development within the UAE. Along with the committee I look forward to building on the work Jason has led and will seek to provide opportunities to advance the FM profession throughout the region.”
She said that BIFM will build on its professional development events in the UAE, continue to rollout the developing education programme and collaborate with other bodies to drive and share best practice.”
BIFM’s senior international manager Neil Everitt said: “The FM sector is developing rapidly in the region, and as the professional body for facilities management we are working hard to support professionals in the sector.
“BIFM is developing an education programme to fully meet the needs of the FM market in UAE.”
During the AGM, BIFM members also voted in the following new UAE Committee members:
